Altered Chic is my little handmade store in Chesterfield.
I had been making gifts for family and friends for several years before turning my hobby into a business. I began attending local craft fairs in the summer of 2009, selling wooden letters, chalkboards, soy candles, soaps, bunting and other handmade gifts. My Notonthehighstreet.com online store opened in Spring 2010 selling a small selection of my handmade products.
After deciding to make Altered Chic my full-time job, I opened my very own shop in May 2011 stocking handmade homewares and gifts – made mostly by myself or other local craftspeople. We are currently working on lots of new ranges for the shop including two large Christmas ranges to be available in the autumn.
