Sunny Sunday

The weather has been lovely here today. I love the fact that Spring has finally arrived!

Today has been spent being productive. A few hours in the workshop, in the greenhouse, cleaning the car, in the kitchen and of course watching the Formula 1 highlights.

Tomorrow is our end of term party at Rainbows and Brownies so I’ve been making chocolate Easter treats for them.

Look at our mini tomato plants. They are growing nicely on the windowsill. I can’t wait till we have yummy tomatoes straight from the greenhouse.

What have you been up to on this sunny Sunday?

Getting ready to launch…

We’ve been so busy the last few days ironing out all the kinks in our new website. Things are almost ready. I’m going to be spending today making sure it is completely ready to go live. It’s taken a lot of work but I hope you agree it will be worth it!

A New Look

Do you like the new look of my blog? I got bored again and decided it needed brightening up for the Spring.

I was inspired by the vertical stripes of patterns in this layout by Ronda. I came across her blog via Pinterest. If you like paper crafting you will love all the gorgeous layouts, cards and tuorials she has.

I am feeling really inspired to scrapbook at the moment which is a shame as all my stash is still packed away in boxes whilst we decorate. We’re getting there slowly so hopefully all this inspiration will stick around until then. Until then I’ll carry on playing around with website designs and digital scrapbooking.

Handmade Mother’s Day

It’s just over a week until Mother’s day here in the UK and I’ve found some lovely handmade items if you’restill struggling with gift ideas.

This cute brooch from Buttercup Boutique, they also have a selection of other designs available.

How about this funky handbag from Coco Crafts.

These vintage bobby pins from Josephines are gorgeous!

This Family cushion from Betsy Jarvis would make a perfect Mother’s Day gift.

Is you Mum a fan of the classic English biscuits? This would look great in the kitchen.

Or how about a hand crocheted mug cosie, perfect for your Mum to cosy up on the sofa after a hard day of work. Quirky Boots are also offering it as a gift set too.

Why not treat your Mum to something handmade this year?

Love Colour?

I love colour palettes. Whether it is a mood board in a magazine or a colour collection on a website.

Design Seeds is a relatively new website that is full of pretty pictures and colours to match. Jessica posts several new images a day so there is always something new to inspire you, whether you are looking for some new colours for your craft project or design work.

As well as being able to search for palettes by colour, you can also view by collection and with category names such as Spring, Crafted and Vintage, you know you are going to find some lovely images and colours.

One colourful image Jessica posted this year is Crafting Bright…

So if you love colour too, I’ve created a little freebie just for you. Feel free to print and use this poster.
