Description
The Monsal Trail in Derbyshire is a 8.5 mile trail following the former Manchester, Buxton, Matlock and Midland Junction Railway. The Monsal Trail features a series of tunnels and viaducts including the Headstone Viaduct and Monsal Dale. The trail begins near to Bakewell and ends at The Topley Pike Junction, 3 miles from Buxton.
The mug features a map of the Monsal Trail and some illustrations of places along the winding path through dramatic limestone dales, historic viaducts, and tunnels that make the trail so iconic.
